SPEX SamplePrep 6775 Freezer/Mill®
The SPEX 6775 Freezer / Mill® cryogenic grinder - for sample quantities from 0.1 to 5 g. The last alternative when grinding temperature-sensitive samples or for samples impossible to grind at ambient temperature.

During the grinding process, the sample container is PERMANENTLY immersed in liquid nitrogen - this makes the sample brittle and easy to grind. Biological samples are processed gently without thermal stress. The permanent cooling, the robust mechanics with only one moving part and the intuitive touchscreen operation ensure maximum efficiency and durability.

SPEX SamplePrep 1200 GenoLyte® Compact Homogenizer
Inexpensive entry into fast and efficient homogenization and cell lysis allowing a variety of grinding vial types of 2ml, 5ml, 7ml and 12ml - up to six vials at the same time.

The SPEX 1200 GenoLyte® compact homogenizer allows the use of grinding vials made of plastic, stainless steel, agate or tungsten carbide. The various sample matrices are disrupted with highest efficiency using a unique horizontal figure eight grinding movement at a maximum speed of 4000 rpm.
 
Automated Tissue Homogenizer and Cell Lyser SPEX SamplePrep 1600 MiniG®
The entry into high-throughput cell disruption as well as fast and efficient sample homogenization - simultaneous homogenization of 192 samples in 2 x 96 deep well plates or up to 6 x 50 ml tubes

Bead beating with the SPEX 1600 MiniG® is carried out by a vertical movement that is identical at all sample positions with a maximum frequency of 1500 strokes per minute. Temperature-sensitive samples can be ground using optionally available cooling adapters.

Bead beating with the SPEX 2010 Geno/Grinder® is carried out by a vertical movement that is identical at all sample positions with a maximum frequency of 1750 strokes per minute. Temperature-sensitive samples can be ground using optionally available cooling adapters.
 
Automated Tissue Homogenizer and Cell Lyser SPEX SamplePrep 2050 Genomax™
Automated mechanical cell lysis as well as fast and efficient high-throughput tissue processing - simultaneous homogenization of 576 samples in 6 x 96 deep well plates or up to 16 x 50 ml tubes.

Bead beating with the SPEX 2050 Genomax™ is carried out by a vertical movement that is identical at all sample positions with a maximum frequency of 1750 strokes per minute. Optimized extraction programs are already preinstalled for the also available DNAmax kits. Temperature-sensitive samples can be ground using optionally available cooling adapters.

Laboratory ball-mill SPEX SamplePrep 5120 Mixer/Mill®
Compact laboratory ball mill for small sample quantities - grinding and homogenizing in 2ml, 3.5ml, 5ml, 7ml and 12ml tubes - up to six grinding vials at the same time.

The 5120 Mixer / Mill® laboratory ball-mill allows the use of grinding vials made of plastic, stainless steel, agate or tungsten carbide. The various sample matrices are disrupted with highest efficiency using a unique horizontal figure eight grinding movement at a maximum speed of 3500 rpm.
 
SPEX SamplePrep 8000M Mixer/Mill®
The 8000M Mixer / Mill® high-energy ball mill from SPEX - grinding, mixing and mechanical alloying with one grinding vial holder

The unique grinding movement of the 8000M Mixer / Mill, resembling the shape of a lying figure eight, represents the standard in the application area of "mechanical alloying". The operating time for this application can be extended to 10,500 minutes. Other areas of application are the grinding of rock, ceramics and slag. Grinding vials made of steel, agate, tungsten carbide, zirconium and plastic in different volumes up to 50mL can be used.
 
SPEX SamplePrep 8000D Mixer/Mill®
The 8000M Mixer / Mill® high-energy ball mill from SPEX - grinding, mixing and mechanical alloying with double capacity.

The unique grinding movement of the 8000D Mixer / Mill, resembling the shape of a lying figure eight, represents the standard in the application area of "mechanical alloying". The operating time for this application can be extended to 10,500 minutes. Other areas of application are the grinding of rock, ceramics and slag. Grinding vials made of steel, agate, tungsten carbide, zirconium and plastic in different volumes up to 2 x 50mL can be used.


RING & PUCK MILLS
SPEX Sampleprep 8550 Shatterbox® ring & puck mill
For the extremely fast size reduction of hard, medium-hard, brittle and fibrous samples to analytical fineness. Dry or in suspension.

The SPEX 8550 Shatterbox® enables the grinding of 5-150g sample material, therefor ten individually configurable grinding programs are available. Depending on the hardness of the sample, grinding dishes made of hardened steel, tungsten carbide, aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide are available. To protect the user, the device has a safety interlock, the sound insulation ensures the best possible protection against excessive noise.
