Near-field radiation on a nano-scale, studied with the Hot Disk TPS 2500S

The first ever transient measurements of Super-Planckian near-field radiative heat transfer has been performed utilizing a Hot Disk TPS 2500 S instrument. The experiments were performed in a collaboration between five laboratories, in four different counties, involving in total eight scientists. The results of these measurements, which closely follow the theoretical expectations but deviate substantially from earlier (less accurate) steady-state measurements, are published in Nature Scientific Reports.
